On the mat for over two decades, teaching for more than one
A national level rhythmic gymnast, I’ve always loved movement.
With my Ashtanga Yoga roots in Sydney, yoga teacher training at the Jivamukti School in New York, a love for Sanskrit and philosophy deepened with Manorama D’Alvia, and passion for the asana sparked with the inimitable Maty Ezraty, I love using the creative to communicate this potent wisdom to a broader community in a very practical way, that can be integrated easily into our busy, modern, daily lives.
Practising and studying yoga and mindfulness is a privilege and honour I don’t take lightly, sharing the teachings I have received from incredible teachers.
But most importantly, to be part of a lineage I pay my respects to always by acknowledging where these teachings come from - which is not from me.
New mamas and expectants mamas are modern day warriors. This Pre & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training harnesses that belief and will provide you with all the tools you need to guide your own practice, or that of your students to through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Gain a deep understanding of:
・Anatomy and physiology from a yoga perspective, at every stage of pregnancy and beyond.
・How to create intelligent sequences that are safe for different trimesters.
・Relaxation, stress management and breathing techniques for pre and post pregnancy.
・How to modify key asana poses.
・Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic perspectives.
“I couldn’t recommend the pre and postnatal training enough! It is the most amazing offering for anyone wanting to gain understanding of how incredible the woman’s body truly is and how yoga can support it through every stage of pregnancy and beyond. With a combo of anatomy, philosophy, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and Rachael’s incredible knowledge, wisdom and guidance, I came away from the training with so much more than just knowing what is and isn’t recommended for a pregnant woman in a yoga class.”
“Being a mother of 2, I always wanted to do this training. What I didn’t know is how much it would change my life. Rachael is a teacher I love and respect, and she gives ALL of herself throughout the training. The second I finished this life-changing course, I knew what I was meant to do. With Rachael’s support, I started teaching prenatal yoga classes within 2 weeks. This training allowed me to be the best prenatal teacher I could possibly be. I absolutely love every single class I teach, and, most importantly, the mums I get to empower along the way.”
I have both in person and online options.
The content will be the same, however the online courses are spread out over a longer period of time in shorter sessions, versus the in-person experience which is more like a traditional, immersive 4-day training.
