With a background in devising and creating new theatre work, I love collaborating with industry and institutions who have commercial objectives to craft immersive experiences for their communities and clients. In particular, site specific events where we bring together people in a space they wouldn’t normally find themselves in for each activity. Bringing to life Sydney spaces creatively over the past few years has been a great love.
Past events include:
- State Library of NSW - yoga infused with storytelling from the yoga mythology. Sessions in the new art gallery space, overlooking the old Mitchell Library’s stunning collection of antique and rare books.
- City of Sydney - Storytime Yoga sessions for kids as part of the City of Sydney’s pop up Lawn Library at Glebe Tramsheds.
- Ten-minute silent theatre piece A Moment in Time in 2013 for Cerrone Jewellery’s anniversary event, held in the glamorous EST Dining Room, with exceptional STC artists, and clothing by Armani.
- Australian Museum- storytime events for school holidays and the DinoSnore sleepover, where the yoga story centred around the animals or objects in the exhibition room we were in each time. A journey through the exhibits, integrating the story, sounds through headphones and movement for families and kids.
